Just back from a great trip to El Salvador with The Grandsons—belly full of pupusas, plantains, and coffee, ready for some great gigs back home:

On the plane heading to El Salvador for a week with The Grandsons. The US Embassy in San Salvador have us booked for a solid week with TV appearances, press conferences, performances in schools, theaters…this is no boondoggle! Looking forward to my first visit to Central America, my most southernliest trip to date!

Just had a great couple of rehearsals with VIRGINIA COALITION, horn arrangements are working out well and the band sounds great. It’ll be me, Vince McKool on trumpet, and Jim McFalls on trombone.
